The God kind of love is a love that transcends the world-system. It’s not a dozen red roses or a heart shaped box, although those things are nice. This special kind of love is not manufactured or initiated by human willpower. It’s not a feeling, or a flutter, or a spark in the air, but rather this love is a supernatural endowment. It’s a divine derivative, a God-ingredient. This new kind of love was given to you supernaturally. It was infused into your being, just like when you were filled by the Holy Ghost. It’s love in a package. It’s love in an impartation. It’s a love that is filled with the fullness of God.
God is love. Love is not something you have to strive to attain; rather love is Someone you possess. As a born again child of God, you were born of God. You were born of love. You are part of a new breed, His elite creation that has been filled with the fullness of God. The fullness of Love Himself lives in you and moves through you. You are covered in love. It’s not something that you have to make happen, you just have to yield to it. You just have to walk in it. It’s already in your new nature. Jesus already paid the price so that you can live in the greater love.
You yield to love in the same way that you would yield to speaking in tongues. It’s no different than yielding to a prophetic word or a miracle. Love is a supernatural impartation of God. It is not something that you have to convince your brain of or talk yourself into. True love is a supernatural endowment. It is an impartation of grace.
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God… -Ephesians 5:2a
