Jesus Liberated Women

Jesus Liberated Women

It is important to understand that Jesus Christ brought real liberation to women. I know this statement may shock you, but if you will follow me, I’ll show you this vital truth through the Scriptures.

God’s plan to liberate woman from the error and shame of Eve’s inheritance of sin is clearly seen in the book of Genesis. God prophesies that enmity would persist between the woman and the devil, but that her seed—the seed of the woman—would entirely destroy his power.

This is a mighty restitution of the woman!

For it was Eve—“the woman”—who was beguiled by the enemy to invite sin and death into all of humanity, but God would not leave this error as our lineage and definition. God would use “the woman”—the Virgin Mary—to birth Christ Jesus, the Champion of all, so that woman would no longer be known for her fall, but that she would be defined by her divine call!

It is Christ who has brought the woman liberation from an inheritance of sin and bondage. Not only is the freedom of being completely liberated from the past available to you, but God has given you the greatest hope and calling for your future: to become a vessel God that can use!

Christ ordained seventy-two and sent them to preach the Kingdom of God and heal the sick—among these were woman. (Luke 10)

There were one hundred and twenty gathered on the day of Pentecost. Christ promised that they would receive empowerment to be “witnesses… to the uttermost parts of the earth”—among these were women.

It was a woman who first evangelized Samaria, and it was women who were first commissioned to tell of the Lord’s resurrection. In the eleventh chapter of Hebrews some of the greatest champions of Faith are listed—among these were women!

Christ brought real freedom to both men and woman alike, for it was always His plan for us to work together.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28

Two thirds of the Body of Christ are women! I believe that we will have a population boom in the Body of Christ when women are activated to understand who they are as daughters of God. This is important to me, and I believe it is even more important to God—that His daughters accept their divine calling in Christ and forsake the limits and the divisions brought through Eve’s fall.

God has given you the desire to fulfill your heavenly purpose. These hopes and dreams are in you for a reason. The Word of God says,

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 2:13

The New Living Translation says, “God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” It is God who gives you the desire to be used by Him, and it is God who gives you the ability, the strength, and the power. Hear His call, and be diligent to seek out the education and equipping you need to be who He has called you to be.

When the Lord gave me the Apostolic Women mission, it was a revelation of what it means to be a representative, an ambassador, and a sent one on behalf of the Kingdom. That is literally what “apostle” means. It means envoy, delegate, someone sent on behalf of another. Not everyone is called to the office of the apostle, but everyone in the Church is called into the apostolic mission. (Eph. 4:11)

Jesus, Our Lord commissioned us,

15 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mark 16:15,17

Notice that we are sent in His Name. This means “on behalf of” or “as a representative of.” This is apostolic evangelism. The Church has been sent as ambassadors for Heaven, and women were among them.

The Prophet Joel prophesied about the empowerment of God’s daughters, and it is echoed and quoted by the Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost, “I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy… upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.”

This empowerment from Heaven is not given lightly. Christ Jesus tells us in the fourth Chapter of the book of Luke that the “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel…” The Spirit of the Lord has been poured out on all flesh for a purpose. Christ, Our Lord reveals that purpose to us in His earthly ministry. He said that in the same manner that God sent Him into the earth, He is now sending us (John 20:21) to be His light, to be the salt, and to be a lighthouse or city built on a hill (Matthew 5:13-16).

Hear His call, daughter of God—Apostolic Woman—and respond as the Virgin Mary did when she surrendered to His calling: “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.” The desires that you have to be used by God are not your own, they have been put in you by God. He has not put them in your heart to frustrate you, but to lead you into the diligent study and search necessary to “shew thyself approved unto God” (2 Tim. 2:15).

Real liberation does not come from coveting what belongs to the men of God in our lives, but by realizing the calling that we have as God’s daughters. It’s beautiful to discover that God’s purpose for you is tailor-made. I hope that this encourages you to begin or to intensify your journey in seeking out your calling in His Church and His mission on earth.
