5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Acts 2:5-8 KJV
On the day of pentecost, at the founding of the church, there were present devout men “out of every nation under Heaven,” ready to be taught and receive the word from the apostles—newly empowered and endowed with the Holy Spirit. These men received the gospel preached to them in their own native tongues and from every nation under heaven, speaking many different languages, the church was born.
There are 6500 languages in the world today.
English is the third most populous language spoken on the planet earth, and yet, less than 6% of the earth's population speak English as their native language.
If we are to reach and change this world for God we need to be able to make His transformative word available to all the peoples and nations of the world. We must tear down every barrier of language and wall of separation that would keep people from coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, or keep God’s people from learning who He has made them to be.
The Book Project was founded for this purpose. By translating and making supernatural teaching material available to bodies of believers all over the world, in their native languages, completely free of charge, the Book Project is breaking down these walls of separation, and expanding our reach to unreached masses of the world. Many of these people of God live in war torn, impoverished, and unstable regions of the world, have never had a word like this available in their own languages, and without the Book Project, could go their entire lives without ever having this Gospel of power preached to them. No Christian should have to go through life ignorant of the significance of the work that salvation has wrought in them, and the availability of the power of God for their lives. No Christian should have to fall prey to the weapons and plots of the enemy out of ignorance.
In the brief time since its founding the book project has translated books into dozens of languages, and impacted hundreds of thousands of lives with the transformative power of God, but even now, there are scores of nations and people groups waiting for books and translations.
It has always been our passion to bring people into the Kingdom of God, and to teach the people of God who they are in Christ.
Help us reach these neglected multitudes, partner with the Book Project today.
